For this project, the client wanted to explore a fresh design for their LMS homepage that didn’t rely heavily on the look of their corporate site, which hadn’t been updated in some time. To help them weigh their options, I created two distinct design concepts. The first maintained a familiar connection to their corporate design, while the second pushed further, offering a bold, modern refresh that remained within their brand guidelines.
In the end, we arrived at a hybrid solution. The client loved elements of both designs and wanted to incorporate the best of each into the final version. Once finalized, I coded the hybrid design directly into their LMS, delivering a refreshed, user-friendly homepage that struck the perfect balance between innovation and brand consistency.
The homepage was designed in Sketch to provide a polished and flexible mock-up for client review. Once approved, the design was implemented into the Thought Industries LMS platform using its native widgets, with custom CSS applied to control the visual styling and layout of the widgets. All CSS was coded in Dreamweaver, ensuring precision and clean execution.
As this project was in the mock-up phase, Latin placeholder text and placeholder imagery were used to represent content, allowing the focus to remain on the overall design and layout.
