What I collect through this site, why, and what I do with it.
Effective September 14, 2026Digital Intellective, LLC ("Digital Intellective," "I," or "me") is a one-person consultancy. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I collect it, and what I do with it. It applies to digitalintellective.com and to the forms on it. It does not cover the learning platforms or websites of my clients.
I collect only what you give me. The contact form asks for your name, email address, company or organization, the services you are interested in, and a message. The teardown form asks for your email address, a link to a page or lesson, and a short note about it. Nothing on this site requires an account.
When you visit, my web host records standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, and the time of your visit. Google reCAPTCHA also collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, to tell people from bots. That data is sent to Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
I use the information you send to reply to you, to prepare a teardown when you ask for one, and to scope and deliver work you hire me for. I use server logs and reCAPTCHA to keep the site running and to block spam. I do not sell your information, I do not buy or rent mailing lists, and I do not add you to a newsletter unless you ask to be added.
A small number of service providers process data on my behalf so the site and my email work: the company that hosts this website, WordPress and Elementor, which store form submissions, the email service that delivers those submissions to my inbox, Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection, Google Analytics for site statistics, and Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts, which load the typefaces on this site and receive your IP address when they do. Each of them is bound by its own privacy terms and may only use your information to provide its service to me.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect my rights or the safety of others.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they found the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view; Google may process that data on servers outside your country. I use it only in aggregate and do not connect it to what you send through a form. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. Beyond that, the site sets only the cookies it needs to function, including those reCAPTCHA uses. I do not run advertising trackers.
Form submissions stay in my inbox and in the site’s submission log for as long as I need them to reply, deliver a teardown, or do the work we agree to, and for a reasonable period afterwards for my records. Server logs are kept for a limited time by my host and then deleted. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will do it. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights under those laws, and I will honor them. I will never treat you differently for exercising them.
This site is for businesses and the people who work at them. It is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.
I use reputable providers, keep software up to date, and limit who can see submissions to me. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot promise absolute security, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you send.
If I change how I collect or use information, I will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here for a reasonable period so returning visitors can see what changed.
